[point nought one]
// co-director

0.01ºCelsius is the triple point of water: the temperature at which solid, liquid and gaseous water co-exist in equilibrium.
Inspired by Scottish tradition and the water that surrounds Scotland, the performers and musicians began to explore materials and sound. They separated their components in order to forge relationships and manufacture histories in the suspension between the beginning and the end of the performance.

[point nought one] is an attempt to build an environment in triple point: a liminal moment in which the vital process of perpetual renewal is arrested and the mechanics of the environment are exposed. These performers are constantly aware that their time is running out.

This work was a collaboration between the Contemporary Performance Practice and Traditional Scottish Music programmes at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
